Games With Friends is a collection of party games for iPhone. This policy explains what the app does with information, in plain language. The short version: the app does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no servers of its own.

What the app does not do

• It does not require or offer an account or sign-in.
• It does not connect to any server operated by the developer. The app makes no network requests.
• It does not contain third-party analytics, advertising or tracking software.
• It does not use your location, contacts, photos, camera or calendar.
• It does not sell, rent or share information about you with anyone.

Information stored on your device

To remember your progress between sessions, the app saves a small amount of game data in the app's private storage on your device:

• Saved conversation starters in Conversation Starters.
• High scores and best streaks in Casting Director.
• Round results in Finish the Line (score, number of correct and skipped quotes, best streak, chosen difficulty, categories and decades, and the date of the round).
• A flag recording that you have seen the Border Hop tutorial.
• A local copy of the built-in movie database used by Movie Chain and Casting Director, unpacked from the app's own files.

This data never leaves your device unless your own iOS backup settings (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) copy it as part of a normal device backup, which is controlled by you and by Apple, not by the developer. None of it identifies you personally. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Microphone and speech recognition

Three games — Country Letter Challenge, Border Blitz and Finish the Line — can optionally listen for spoken answers. This feature only works if you grant microphone and speech recognition permission, and every game is fully playable by typing instead.
